Abstract

L'invention concerne un matériau composite à base de polypropylène et d'argile comprenant (a) entre 1 et 30 % en poids d'un polypropylène dénaturé ayant un groupe fonctionnel, (b) entre 1 et 20 % en poids d'une argile stratifiée organisée par un agent retardateur de flamme à base amine sans halogène pouvant être utilisé seul ou combiné avec un composé d'alkyl-ammonium, et reliée au groupe fonctionnel du polypropylène dénaturé, et (c) entre 50 et 98 % en poids d'une matrice de résine polyoléfinique dans laquelle le polypropylène dénaturé et l'argile stratifiée sont diffusés. Le matériau composite à base de polypropylène et d'argile de la présente invention présente de bonnes propriétés mécaniques, telle que la rigidité, la thermorésistance, la résistance au choc, et une propriété retardatrice de flamme, la transparence et une capacité à empêcher la perméation de gaz et de liquide.
