Abstract

La présente invention concerne un réacteur à membrane à échange thermique destiné à générer de l'électricité. Cette invention concerne plus particulièrement un système de réacteur à membrane qui utilise un procédé de reformage à la vapeur thermique ou catalytique et un procédé de conversion à la vapeur d'eau sur un côté de la membrane, et un procédé de combustion d'hydrogène sur l'autre côté de cette membrane. La chaleur de combustion est échangée à travers la membrane de façon à chauffer le combustible hydrocarbure et fournir de la chaleur pour la réaction de reformage. Dans un mode de réalisation de l'invention, l'hydrogène est brûlé à l'air comprimé de façon à produire de l'électricité. Un flux de dioxyde de carbone est produit sous forme intrinsèquement distincte et sous pression de façon à faciliter l'injection de CO2 dans un puits, dans le but de capturer du carbone de l'atmosphère terrestre.
