Definitions
- the invention relates to a dog harness with a droppings container according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the object of the invention is to propose a manure catcher that can be attached to a dog in the form of a dog harness with a manure catcher, which enables simple and safe attachment to the dog, allows easy removal and disposal of the manure collector used, and thus contaminates streets, parks and the like prevented safely and conveniently. Furthermore, it is an object of the invention to design such a droppings collection device and to fix it on the dog in such a way that the dog's natural freedom of movement is preserved as far as possible.
- the harness according to the invention is put on the dog when leaving the apartment, a droppings container attached to this harness, and thus the dog is prepared for the exit.
- dogs quickly get used to such harness and the attached feces container if the harness is optimally adapted to the size and body shape of the dog, which is relatively easy for laypersons to do by adjusting the belt lengths , It is important to ensure that the droppings container at the opening has sufficient shape stability so that the opening is preserved when carried and the droppings can slide into the container.
- the container is then removed from the holder, closed and either disposed of at the earliest opportunity or carried home in a reasonably tightly closed state at a specially provided place on the harness (e.g. a small bag).
- the dog harness consists of a system of adjustable belts, straps, straps or the like., In particular of elastic straps or straps made of rubber or similar stretchable material, which adapt to every movement of the animal, so that the straps rub against the dog's body and thus a risk of injury is avoided.
- the harness includes a chest strap, a back strap resting on the animal's backbone, a belly strap, holding straps or carrying straps for receiving the feces container, and approximately parallel groin straps extending from the holding strap, each of which extends upwards over the inner thighs and the two side flanks a common connection point at which all straps can be coupled together.
- the two parallel holding straps which receive the manure container, are provided with holding sections, which together form a U-shape and accommodate the fastening elements for the receiving container, also in a U-shape, such that the U-shaped holding sections enclose the dog's anus and position the droppings container attached to the holding section so that the container opening is immediately below the exit of the anus.
- the fastening elements are, for example, Velcro strips, by means of which the container tabs are attached to the holding sections, mechanical locking elements with which the container can be fastened to the holding sections, For example, can be hooked in, or the like.
- the length of the individual belts can be changed by means of buckle-like or loop-like adjustment devices so that they can be adapted to different sizes and dimensions of dogs.
- the front end of the belt system at the level of the backbone of the dog is provided with at least one connecting ring which receives the belt ends at the beginning of the backbone, or there are connecting belts with plug-in devices which can be inserted into corresponding mating plug-in elements, for example a head harness, with the one described above Crockery for holding the feces catcher has nothing to do and is used by the dog owner anyway.
- the holding device carrying the feces receiving device which is arranged at the level of the anus and is designed in a U-shape, additionally has a cross-connecting belt or bar on the two free ends of the vertical U-legs, which is placed behind the saddle above the tail attachment.
- the dog harness consists, for example, of straps or straps made of nylon, rubber or the like, or optionally of combined rubber and leather sections, so that the harness can be designed as a fashionable accessory for the discerning dog owner.
- the harness straps are in particular equipped with quick fasteners, snap fasteners, snap hooks or the like, which can be coupled to the common connection point or separate connection points.
- the droppings container is preferably a collapsible, flexible bag made of plastic, paper or the like, which can optionally have a liquid- and / or odor-proof insert and which adapts to the spatial conditions between the dog's anus and tail when it is carried without hindrance.
- Practice has shown that dogs generally have easy-to-put-on, centrally fixed and stabilized harnesses and accept the droppings container very quickly, so there are no problems with practical use.
- Fig. 1 shows schematically a dog with dog harness put on with droppings container
- Fig. 2 in supervision the harness with holder for receiving the droppings container
- Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of a droppings container in a perspective, open view.
- the running harness 1 fixed to the animal consists of a chest belt 2, a waist belt 3, a back belt 4 running along the spine, two parallel groin belts 5, 5 ', a belt connection 6, e.g. a belt ring in which the individual belt elements are fastened at the beginning of the backbone, a saddle 7 which is fixed at the end of the back belt 4 directly in front of the dog's tail root, a holding device 8 for the droppings container 23 and a pair of into the holding device 8 integrated risers 9, 9 ', which are connected to the last belts 5, 5' or represent their extensions.
- the back belt 4 is fastened to the saddle 7, which is designed, for example, as a triangular plate made of leather or similar material, e.g. B. sewn. From the opposite side of the saddle 7 go the last belts 5, 5 ', which are attached in the extension with the holding device 8.
- the holding device 8 is approximately U-shaped and consists of the parallel side sections 10, 11 and the strip-shaped transverse section 12 which is fixed below the anus and the dog's tail root when the harness is in place.
- the cross section 12 has a fastener 13, e.g. B. in the form of a Velcro, corresponding sections 14, 15 of a Velcro are provided on the side sections 10, 1 1.
- the ends of the sections 10, 11 of the holder facing the saddle 5 are connected to one another by a cross connector 16, for example a crossbar, which lies directly on the top in the region of the tail root.
- This cross connector (cross bar or connecting belt) 16 is fixed on one side to a side section 10 and on the other side detachably connected to the opposite side section 11.
- the chest belt 2, the waist belt 3, the back belt 4 and the groin belts 5, 5 ' have, for example, belt length adjusters 1 7 or buckles, with the aid of which the belts can be adjusted to the respective dimensions of the dog.
- the front end of the back belt 4 is firmly connected to the belt ring 6.
- a differently designed belt connection point 18 can be provided, from which two forward-facing belts 19, 20 can extend, which lead at their free ends with connectors 21, 22 to a dog's head harness, if present, and through with it Connectors can be attached.
- the manure collector 23 is preferably a flexible bag, the opening side of which is provided with tabs 24, 25, 26 or lugs, wings or the like.
- the surfaces of which correspond to the fastening elements 13, 14, 15 of the sections 10, 11, 12 of the holding device 8 so that the surfaces 24, 25, 26 are connected to the fastening elements 13, 14, 15 due to the adhesive action of the Velcro fasteners or mechanical interlocks and the container 23 is fixed on three sides and then the cross bar 16 on the fourth side of the opening is closed, so that the container 23 is ready for use and is fixed around the anus of the dog.
- the container consists of soft, flexible and body-friendly material, for example plastic, multi-layer paper or textile material with an insert which is impervious to moisture and preferably also to odor, for example a film material.
- the tabs, wings or the like. 24, 25, 26, which form an adhesive bond with the fastening elements 13, 14, 15, are pulled off the fastening elements, folded inwards and, if these tabs have a sufficient width, placed on top of each other so that the opening is closed.
- a cord can be attached to the container 23 below these tabs, which is pulled together to close the container.
- the closure of the bag can also be designed in a different manner known per se, for example the neck of the removed container can be closed with the aid of a plastic clip.
- the removed bag is stowed in a bag brought along by the dog owner, for example in a bag which is connected to the dog harness, so that the used bag is carried by the dog itself together with the harness until it is disposed of.
