L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à réduire la teneur en azote dans des bains d'acier en fusion, caractérisé en ce que le bain d'acier en fusion se trouvant dans un récipient de traitement est soumis à l'action de NH3, puis est dégazé sous vide avec introduction simultanée d'argon comme gaz d'entraînement.
