Definitions
- the invention relates to an awning, with a fabric that is attached on the one hand to a fabric roll and on the other hand to a drop bar, with a tension element, by means of which a tensile force acts on the fabric in its unwinding direction, and with a winding element, on the bottom of which the tension element can be wound is, the tension element is wound onto the winding element when the cloth is unwound from the cloth roll and vice versa, the winding element having an adjustable bottom diameter.
- the invention further relates to a winding roll for use in an awning.
- the pulling element is simultaneously wound up by a winding element. If the cloth is unwound by rotating the cloth roll, the tension element is simultaneously unwound from the winding element.
- the winding element consists of a truncated cone-shaped winding core firmly connected to the fabric shaft, the winding surface being designed such that when the tension element is wound around the winding core, the turns of the tension element migrate towards the smaller truncated cone surface, and the inclination of the surface line of the truncated cone-shaped winding surface is selected such that when the cloth shaft and thus the two outer winding cores are rotated, the circumference of the outermost sheet layer corresponds to the circumference of the next winding on each winding core.
- the conical winding surface of the winding cores is formed by four truncated-cone-shaped partial cladding shells, the surface of each cladding shell being delimited at its four lateral edges by an arc of the two circular truncated-cone base areas and by two dividing lines to adjacent cladding shells representative surface lines.
- the inclination of at least one shell shell long before its surface line can be changed. The inclination can be adjusted to the thickness of the awning fabric.
- the inclination is adjusted using set screws, whereby each of the truncated cone shells can be adjusted using three set screws.
- the tension element can be in the form of ropes, metal bands or textile bands.
- the cover described in this document is characterized in that the diameter of the bottom of the winding roll, on which the first turn of the tension element comes to rest, is at least as large as the diameter of the fully wound cloth roll.
- the aim of this measure is that the tension in the fabric is as low as possible when the awning is retracted, and is highest when fully rolled out.
- the tensile stress increases linearly with the unwinding of the fabric.
- the tension of the spring is sufficient to cause a basic tension of the cloth, which prevents sagging in the case of drop lengths of up to approx. 2 m.
- the awning fabric is always stretched to the extent that it does not sag when it is extended, and that the maximum tensile stress does not exceed the maximum values permitted for the awning fabric used. This must be taken into account when designing the assembly of each individual awning.
- the awning Since with increasing drop lengths a stronger fabric tension is required per se, the awning must be designed in particular depending on the maximum drop lengths and the resulting maximum fabric tension. In the event of different lengths of the fabric, more or fewer windings on the fabric or tension element must then be taken up by the fabric or winding roll.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to provide an awning of the type mentioned, which can be easily and therefore inexpensively adapted to the maximum drop lengths in order to obtain a favorable fabric tension characteristic.
- This measure has the advantage that the same winding roll can always be used in awnings with different drop lengths and that the adaptation to the individual drop lengths takes place through the additionally provided components. In this way, a single type of winding roll for awnings with different lengths can be produced. Since the winding rolls are mostly an integral part of the cloth rolls, identical modules made of winding and cloth rolls can now be used for a large number of awnings with different lengths. The adaptation to longer fabric lengths is done by the additional components to enlarge the bottom diameter. This adaptation leads in a highly advantageous manner to comparable fabric tensioning characteristics with different cloth lengths, so that one and the same cloth material can be used universally for different cloth lengths. If the winding roll diameter remained the same with increasing cloth roll, the running difference between the cloth and tension element would become ever larger, so that different cloth tension characteristics are present in each case, which can lead to damage.
- bottom diameter can be enlarged and can be adapted to the changed cloth roll diameter without the complete winding roll having to be replaced and replaced by another.
- the winding roll with a minimum base diameter can be used for a certain minimum length of cloth, e.g. 2 m. If longer lengths of cloth are then provided, the minimum base diameter is gradually increased, that is to say adapted to the increasing cloth roll diameter when the cloth is completely wound up.
- the winding roll has two side disks, between which the tension element is wound, the two side disks being provided with mutually opposite aligned openings, first openings being arranged at a first radial distance from the center of rotation of the winding roll, and wherein further openings are each arranged at a greater radial distance from the center of rotation of the winding roll, and that bolts can be inserted into the corresponding openings to enlarge the bottom diameter of the winding roll.
- This measure has the advantage that the corresponding openings can already be provided in the original manufacture of the winding roll, into which the bolts are then inserted according to the length of the cloth, around which the tension element is then wound.
- This process is simple and can be carried out during assembly on site, namely by inserting the bolts into the corresponding openings and then not pulling the tension element around the bottom of the winding roll, but rather wrapping it around the inserted bolts, the outer circumferential sleeve line of which is then represent the new adapted diameter larger floor.
- the openings are offset circumferentially from one another with increasing radial distance from the center of rotation.
- This arrangement has the advantage that the stability of the winding roll is not affected by the holes.
- openings with the same radial spacing are circumferentially arranged several times.
- This measure has the advantage that, through numerous openings arranged circumferentially, for example six or more, the bolts create a floor which is always "rounder” and is more and more adapted to the concentric movements of the awning.
- the winding roll has a base body and two side disks, between which the tension element is wound, and for enlargement of the bottom diameter of the winding roll, at least one enlargement ring is provided, which can be mounted between the two side windows.
- This measure has the advantage that a circular bottom with a larger diameter is created by the ring body, which is conducive to the previously mentioned concentricity.
- a magnification ring consists of at least two circular ring sections.
- This measure has the advantage that the ring sections can, for example, be clipped onto the central base body, that is to say onto the original base of the winding roll.
- At least one of the side windows can be removed from the base body for mounting a magnification ring.
- This measure has the advantage that only one side window is removed for enlargement, the enlarging ring has to be pushed onto the base body and then the side window can be attached again. This process is also easy to carry out on site at the construction site.
- the bottom diameter of the winding roll is chosen so that this min- 10
- This measure has the advantage that it achieves a tension characteristic that is particularly gentle on the fabric and is also obtained with the different diameter sizes of the winding roll.
- the winding roll and the cloth roll are arranged coaxially with one another, and the tension element is deflected via a deflection roller at the outermost dropout.
- This measure has the advantage that a particularly compact awning is provided in the area of the driven roll of fabric.
- the awning box in which the cloth roll is accommodated can be closed accordingly on all sides.
- the invention also relates to a winding roll as such, since the invention is also implemented in the winding roll which can be traded as an independent roll.
- module components of the winding roll and the cloth roll which can be displaced relative to one another, for example with a spring mechanism, and are designed as a compact module unit.
- 1 is a schematic side view of an awning
- FIG. 2 is a side view of a winding roll
- FIG. 6 is a diagram in which the fabric tension TS is plotted against the fabric length to show the fabric tension characteristics
- FIG. 7 shows a representation, comparable to the section of FIG. 3, of a further exemplary embodiment of a winding roll with a magnification ring applied to it
- Fig. 8 is a plan view of another embodiment of such a magnification ring, which is composed of two half rings.
- awning In Fig. 1 an awning is designated in its entirety with the reference number 10.
- the awning 10 has a housing 12 which is mounted on a building 14.
- a cloth roll 16 is received in the housing 12, to which one end of a cloth 18 is fastened and onto which the cloth 18 is wound up or unwound. The opposite end, the so-called dropout of the cloth 18 is connected to a drop bar 20.
- the drop rod 20 is connected to a tension element 22 in the form of a textured band, which is guided to a deflection roller 24 at the outermost dropout, deflected there and to one 13
- Winding roll 26 is returned, which sits on a lateral journal 17 of the cloth roll 16.
- a winding roll is again arranged in mirror image, and accordingly a second tension element is also arranged on the other side of the towel 18.
- the deflection roller 24 is mounted in a guide rail, not shown here.
- the pulling element 22 is wound onto the winding roll 26 and pulls the extension rod 20 off the cloth roll 16, the cloth 18 is processed.
- the winding roll 26 consists of a central, round base body 29 which is delimited on both sides by side disks 30 of larger diameter.
- the peripheral surface of the base body 29 forms a bottom 28 of the winding roll 26.
- a central through opening is used to mount the winding roll 26 on the lateral journal 17 of the cloth roll 16.
- Through openings 31, 32, 33 and 34 are provided in the side windows 30 and are aligned with one another.
- the radial distance of the openings 31, 32, 33 and 34 to the axis of rotation 39 is continuously increasing.
- the openings 31, 32, 33 and 34 are slightly offset circumferentially from one another.
- openings 31 There are a total of six openings 31 arranged circumferentially offset from one another by 60 °, this also applies to openings 32, 33 and 34, so that six groups of openings 31, 32, 33 and 34 are present. 15
- the openings 31, 32, 33 and 34 are provided so that 39 bolts 40 are pushed through a series of openings at the same radial distance from the axis of rotation.
- the series of openings 31 is intended for cloth lengths of about 2 m, the series 32 for cloth lengths of 3 m, the series 33 for cloth lengths of 4.5 m and the series 34 to be fitted with bolts 40 for fabric lengths of 6 m.
- the bolts 40 are then inserted into the corresponding series of holes.
- FIGS. 4 and 5 A practical example is shown in FIGS. 4 and 5.
- the diameter 36 of the winding roll 26 or of the base 28 is in a certain size ratio to the diameter 42 of the cloth roll 16 with the cloth 18 fully wound.
- the ratio of diameter 42 to diameter 36 is approximately 1.1-1.2. This achieves a fabric tension characteristic as described below in FIG. 6.
- Fig. 5 a variant is shown in which the cloth 18 has a much larger drop lengths.
- the pins 40 are now inserted into the series of holes 33 and the tension element 22 is wound around the outside of the six bolts 40.
- the diameter of the newly created “bottom” of the winding roll is designated 37 and is larger in comparison to the original bottom 28 (see FIG. 2).
- the diameter 43 of the cloth roll 16 together with the wound cloth is correspondingly larger.
- the ratio between the diameters 43 and 37 remains approximately the same, ie approximately 1.1-1.2.
- FIG. 7 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a winding roll 44.
- the winding roll 44 has a base body 46, the circumference of which represents a base 48.
- One side window 50 is fixedly connected to the base body 46, the other side window 52 is detachably connected via screws 54.
- the side window 52 can be removed, a enlargement ring 46 can be pushed on and then the side window 18th
- magnification ring 60 which is composed of two half rings 62 and 64 which can be connected to one another via a clip catch 66.
- the winding roller 44 does not need to be dismantled, but the half rings 62 and 64 can be pushed directly onto the original base body of a winding roller and clipped together, thereby increasing the diameter of the base.
