Description
Gurtstraffer mit pyrotechnischem Rotationsantrieb Belt tensioners with pyrotechnic rotary drive
The invention relates to a belt tensioner with pyrotechnic rotary drive for a seat belt, preferably an end fitting tensioner of a 3-point automatic seat belt.
Die Breite der heutzutage üblichenBelt tensioners of this type must in particular have very small dimensions, since they are arranged next to, under or on a vehicle seat. Belt tensioners are usually designed either as linear tensioners or as rotary tensioners, in the latter case so far the free end of the seat belt has been connected directly and in its full width to the tensioner. The breadth of the usual today
Seat belts are standardized and are just under 50 mm. In the case of rotary tensioners flanged to automatic belt retractors in particular, the belt width largely determines the overall length in the axial direction.
This is achieved in the case of a belt tensioner of the type mentioned at the outset by providing a flexible tension band connected to the spool shaft, which is connected to the seat belt and on the spool shaft
The width of the drawstring is smaller than that of the seat belt. The drawstring also has at least the same strength as the seat belt. In the previously known rotary tensioners, the webbing is rolled up over its entire width on the take-up shaft, whereas in the belt tensioner according to the invention a piece of drawstring of smaller width is provided, which is wound on the spool shaft and through which the width of the entire tensioner is compared by more than 50% known belt tensioners can reduce. In addition, a drawstring usually has a much higher tensile strength with the same tensile strength
Flexibility than a pull rope and is easier to roll up than other means of transmission. It is also easier to connect the seat belt and the drawstring and without interposing other parts than connecting the rope to the seat belt, for example.
The flexible drawstring can consist of the same material as the webbing and can also be integrally connected to it. This can be achieved in that the drawstring is an extension of the free end of the seat belt on which the belt tensioner engages. The seat belt in the area of the free end is folded inwards with its free side edges. The free edges are glued or sewn to one another or to the center piece of the seat belt and can even overlap. Another possibility is to provide a separate drawstring, e.g. from fabric tape attached to the free end of the seat belt, e.g. by sewing on.
Preferably, the flexible drawstring always has the same width and thickness in the feed area of the belt tensioner, so that a uniform roll-up process is also made possible.
The spool shaft in rotary tensioners is directly coupled to the rotary drive and can even be rigidly connected to it.
According to a preferred embodiment, the belt tensioner has a device which, after activation, prevents the belt webbing from being pulled out again. In addition, there may also be a device which, after activation of the belt tensioner, allows the belt to be pulled out again with a force limit.
In den Zeichnungen zeigen:Further features and advantages of the invention result from the following description and from the following drawings, to which reference is made. The drawings show:

straffers, wobei nur das freie Ende des Sicherheitsgurtes und das daran befestigte Zugband gezeigt sind, undFIG. 2 shows a second embodiment of the belt taut, only the free end of the seat belt and the drawstring attached are shown, and
Figur 3 eine Querschnittsansicht durch die Gurtspule bei der Aus- führungsform nach Figur 2.3 shows a cross-sectional view through the belt reel in the embodiment according to FIG. 2.
In Figur 1 ist ein Gurtstraffer, genauger gesagt ein Lamellen- rotorstraffer gezeigt, bei dem ein Drehkolbenantrieb 3 unmittelbar mit einer Spulenwelle 5 gekoppelt ist.FIG. 1 shows a belt tensioner, more precisely a multi-blade rotor tensioner, in which a rotary piston drive 3 is directly coupled to a spool shaft 5.
Die freien Ränder 9 sind dann aneinander und am Mittelstück desInstead of a rotary piston drive, however, a linear drive can also be provided, in which a rotary movement is generated via a toothed rack and a pinion arranged on the spool shaft 5. The belt tensioner shown in Figure 1 is designed as an end fitting tensioner, i.e. the end of a seat belt 7 is moved by pressing the punches. The belt tensioner itself is attached under the vehicle seat, whereby belt deflection elements (e.g. rollers), not shown, are also provided. The seat belt 7 is fastened with its free end to the spool shaft 5 by pulling it through a slot in the spool shaft 5 and fastening it to it, as will be explained in more detail with reference to FIG. 3. In order to keep the width of the belt tensioner as small as possible, the safety belt 7 is turned over in the area of its free end with the free edges 9 inwards, so that a C-shaped profile results in cross section. The free edges 9 are then together and at the center of the
Seat belt permanently attached by sewing. By folding the seat belt, its width can be halved or even reduced, the latter in particular if the edges 9 overlap, but this is at the expense of the thickness. The area 11 in which the webbing has been folded in is referred to as the tension band, which ensures a connection of the spool shaft 5 to the seat belt 7 in the area of its full width. The length of the drawstring 11 must at least correspond to the tensioning path. The tensioning path in turn is determined in the embodiment shown by the amount of gas supplied by the gas generator inside the belt tensioner. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, in which the seat belt gradually and steadily narrows into the tension band 11, the tension band 11 is relatively stiff and thick, so that due to this rigidity, increased resistance is provided when rolling up.
Die freienThis disadvantage does not exist in the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, since the tension band 11 'is designed as a separate, flexible part. The tension band 11 'is also a fabric band, the strength of which is even higher than that of the seat belt 7'. The tie band 11 'and the free end of the seat belt 7' are connected by sewing, the free edges 9 'of the seat belt 7' being folded inwards in a triangular shape. The free
Dadurch wird ein gleichmäßiger Kraftübergang vomEdges 9 'are even turned so far that they overlap to form an open pocket, as shown in Fig. 2. The drawstring 11 'is then inserted into this pocket to such an extent that it even protrudes from the pocket. Finally, the tension band 11 'is sewn to the seat belt 7', so that the edges 9 'are also fixed by the preferably one seam. A very stable fastening of the tension band 11 'is thereby achieved. It is also advantageous if the seat belt becomes narrower and narrower up to its free end and finally reaches the width of the tension band 11 '. This ensures an even power transfer from
Seat belt 7 'to the tension band 11' is reached, so that the seat belt 7 'transmits forces over its entire width. The opposite free end of the drawstring 11 'is sewn into a loop into which a filler pin 13 is inserted after the drawstring has been pushed through a slot in the spool shaft 5, as can be seen in more detail in FIG.
After tightening, a known device can act in the belt tensioner, which prevents the belt from being pulled out again or allows the belt to be pulled out again, while limiting a force to be applied.
Darüber hinaus ist die Idee, ein schmales Zugband 11, wie in denThe reduction in the belt width allows it. to design the belt tensioner according to the invention much narrower than known ones. In addition, the idea of a narrow drawstring 11, as in the
Figures 1 and 2 shown to use, quite useful even with linear tensioners. For example, a linear tensioner (provided as a final fitting tensioner, for example) could be attached under a vehicle seat, and the tension band 11 or 11 'extends over at least the length of the tensioning path beyond a deflection device. The deflection device can, for example, change the horizontal course of the tension band 11 to a vertical course or an approximately vertical course. In this embodiment, the tension band 11 would be mounted as part of the linear tensioner via a bearing pin on a fork-shaped end of a piston rod.
