Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for discharging a medium, which is dissolved or finely distributed in a liquid, to a location located away from the discharge location according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of specifying an effective method for discharging a medium dissolved or finely distributed in a liquid, in which an operator cannot be hit by parts of the discharged medium deflected by wind.
  • the liquid receiving the substance or the medium is held in a tubular housing which is open at one end.
  • the open end is preferably provided with a jet shaping device.
  • a gas under pressure is suddenly applied to the other end of the housing over a period of time. It must be ensured that the liquid is essentially discharged as a column and does not immediately disperse into fine droplets when it hits air. • an annular gap is formed toward the inside of the inner tube 14, through which the compressed gas can drive out the liquid via the nozzle arrangement 54.
  • the nozzle arrangement forms a more or less finely distributed, but relatively wide jet. Because of the constant connection between the bore 34 and the annular space 18, a certain amount of compressed gas still flows in to effect the expulsion of the liquid. However, if the pressure on the entire end face of the sealing section 22 decreases due to the expulsion process, the pressure on the active surface of the sealing section 32 is sufficient to move the piston back into the closed position. This pressure increases the moment the seal 28 re-enters the bore section 30. As soon as the two reservoirs for liquid and compressed gas are refilled, which is the case within a short time, another jet can be emitted.
