Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé d'extinction des incendies, lequel fait appel à un mélange d'extinction du feu et consiste à effectuer les opérations suivantes selon un ordre prédéterminé. Un gaz de travail sous pression provenant d'une chambre de stockage (4) est envoyé dans de l'eau se trouvant dans une chambre de pulvérisation (9) à pression ambiante, l'eau étant ensuite fragmentée puis expulsée par un injecteur (13) à une vitesse supérieure à 60 m/sec. Ce procédé et ce dispositif permettent d'accroître l'efficacité d'extinction du feu grâce à une plus grande énergie cinétique lors de l'émission du jet pulvérisé. Ce dispositif d'extinction des incendies comprend un clapet à action rapide (1) qui est connecté en série à un réservoir (2) de gaz de travail à haute pression. Ce réservoir est connecté à la chambre de stockage (4) du gaz de travail par l'intermédiaire d'un dispositif réducteur (3), ainsi qu'à un récipient d'eau (6) par l'intermédiaire d'un autre dispositif réducteur (5). Ce récipient est lui-même connecté à la chambre de pulvérisation (9) par l'intermédiaire d'un clapet à action rapide (7) et d'un conduit court (8). La chambre de stockage (4), enfin, est connectée, par l'intermédiaire d'un conduit court (10) et d'un clapet à action rapide (11), à un système de buses (12) ainsi qu'à la chambre de pulvérisation (9) à la sortie de laquelle se trouve un injecteur (13).
