Abstract

The invention relates to an awning, comprising an awning housing (10), that can be fixed onto a bearing wall by means of consoles. A canvas shaft (14) is rotationally accommodated in said awning housing (10). At least one oscillating arm is connected to the awning housing, and articulates with a drop bar (32), to which a rolled canvas (35) that falls out of the canvas shaft (14) is fixed. In order to prevent the canvas shaft (14) from bending, the invention provides that said canvas shaft (14) be elastically and flexibly supported.

Description

Markise mit Druckausgleichlager Awning with pressure compensation bearing
The invention relates to an awning, with an awning housing which can be fastened to a supporting wall by means of brackets, with a fabric shaft rotatably received in the awning housing, with at least one swivel arm which is articulated on the one hand on the awning housing and on the other hand articulated with a drop bar on which a dropout is attached attached to the cloth shaft wound cloth.
Such an awning is known from DE 42 09 972 AI. In the case of known awnings of this type, the fabric shaft bends essentially forward, that is to say in the direction of extension, particularly when the awning fabric is extended due to the tensile forces which occur in this case. This has a negative impact on the sagging level of the awning cover and the position of the drop bar in relation to the awning housing. The drop bar also bends, as is shown schematically in the accompanying FIG. 1. If the fabric is pulled back in, the curved drop bar can no longer lie close to the awning housing, so that moisture and dirt can penetrate. When winding, considerable folds appear in the central area of the curved fabric shaft. This creates unfavorable frictional conditions in the center area of the awning fabric made from a number of overlapping individual material webs when it passes through the guide channel or guide gap formed in the awning housing.
It is an object of the invention to largely prevent the fabric shaft from bending, particularly when the awning fabric is extended and retracted.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the cloth shaft is resiliently supported. This measure now has the advantage that the forces that cause the fabric shaft to bend are absorbed by the resilient support. These forces no longer cause the fabric shaft to bend, but instead result in a movement of the fabric shaft in the resilient support. This results in excellent parallelism between the fabric shaft and the drop bar, so that no creases can occur when winding up.
The spring-elastic support also ensures that sagging of the cloth is reduced. Due to the fact that the fabric shaft can no longer bend, and thus the drop bar can no longer be bent, the latter can be used in a straight-line sealing manner on the awning housing. Because there are no more wrinkles, the friction at the seams of the cloth is considerably reduced, which is extremely beneficial to the life of the cloth.
Another significant advantage in the resilient resilient support is that vibrations, e.g. of electric drives, are dampened considerably by this storage and are not transferred to the building.
Further developments and expedient refinements of the invention are listed in the subclaims.
Es zeigen:The invention is described and explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Show it:

Fig. 6 shows a cross section through the awning housing with a support body assigned to the fabric shaft.
Fig. 1 shows schematically the bent fabric shaft 14 and the curved drop bar 32 of an awning, the pivot arms 6, 6 'and 7, 7' on the one hand to the drop bar 32 and on the other hand pivoted to the brackets 8, 9 receiving the awning housing 10.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the awning housing 10 is closed at both ends by an end cap 11, 12. One bearing pin 13 of the cloth shaft 14 is rotatably mounted directly in a slide element 15 provided with a suitable receiving bore 15 'and the other bearing pin 16 of the cloth shaft in a bearing plate 18 which is united with a similar slide element 17 and has a receiving hole 17' and which carries the slide element 17 through Screws 19 or the like fasteners is connected.
The two slide elements 15 and 17 are each provided with two recesses 20, 21 for receiving, guiding and supporting an end region of resilient components 22, 23 which, as also shown in FIG. 3, have their other end on surfaces 24, 25 of the limiting and guide frames 26, 27, which are respectively attached in the two end caps 11, 12.
Instead of the spring-elastic components designed here as compression springs, tension springs can also be used, which are anchored on the one hand on the delimiting frame 26 and, on the other hand, can act directly on the respective slide element.
The number and design of the spring elements depend on the respectively required or cheapest resulting spring constants.
The spring-loaded slide elements 15 and 17 are slidably guided in the guide frame 27 of the associated end cap and are fixed in their respective deflection by the limiting frame 26. In order to keep the coefficient of friction as low as possible, the sliding surfaces of the slide elements 15 and 17 and possibly also the guide tracks assigned to them can be provided with a low-friction coating, for example with a layer of Teflon, or consist of a suitable plastic. To facilitate the assembly of the slide elements in the respective end cap 11 or 12, a guide rod 27, 29 is attached to each end of the slide element, to which a retaining screw 30, 31 is assigned.
The engagement groove 34 of the fabric shaft 14 for anchoring the awning fabric 35 is indicated by dashed lines in FIGS. 2 and 3. In the case of Fig. 2, reference numeral 33 denotes a support shell for the awning fabric. The awning drive with gear is not indicated for the sake of clarity.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the two slide elements 15 and 17 are arranged displaceably on roller bodies 37 attached in the two end caps 11 and 12 of the awning housing 10. In Fig. 4 only the end cap 11 is shown, the end cap 12 is designed in mirror image accordingly. A double arrow shows the sliding movements of the fabric shaft 14 due to the resilient support of the fabric shaft 14 in the awning housing via the spring 22. Forces that act on the fabric shaft 14 therefore do not cause the fabric shaft 14 to bend but are absorbed by the pressure compensation bearing.
Fig. 5 shows a solution in which the slide elements 15, 17 are each provided with ball bearings 38 which roll on the guide frame 27.
In the embodiment variant according to FIG. 6, the cloth shaft 14 or the cloth roll located thereon is associated with a support body 41, which is under the action of springs 39, 40 and extends in the circumferential direction of the cloth shaft and which also extends to the rollers 42, 42 resting on the fabric shaft and can be displaced radially to the fabric shaft axis for automatic adaptation to the changes in diameter of the fabric shaft winding.
The support bodies 41, which are preferably each accommodated in a cutout 43 'of the arm bearings 43, are each designed as a Y-shaped two-arm roller carrier, the arms 44, 45 of which each extend in the circumferential direction of the fabric shaft 14 and carry the rollers 42, 42' at their end region. The two arms 44, 45 of the respective support body 41 go in their area facing away from the fabric shaft with a corresponding curvature into a radially extending to the fabric shaft axis guide member 46 which contains a longitudinal slot 47 into which a guide pin 48 attached to the arm bearing 43 engages, so that the Support body 41 can automatically follow the changes in the winding diameter of the cloth shaft.
In the curvatures 49, 50 of the support body 41, contact surfaces for the springs 39, 40 arranged here both inclined to the axis of the fabric shaft and to one another are worked on, the other ends of which are supported on mating surfaces 51, 52 of the arm bearings 43.
The respective angle of inclination of the springs as well as their constant depend on the relevant force and torque components to be expected according to direction and size.
Instead of compression springs, spring-elastic elements made of a different material or designed differently can also be used. The number of support bodies 41 to be provided for each fabric shaft is generally based on the dimensions of the awnings (length of the fabric shaft, its diameter, extendable length of the fabric). If necessary, a support body 41 can be assigned to each overlap zone of the awning fabric composed of mutually overlapping individual material webs, for which support surfaces for the springs 39, 40 in the awning housing 10 are then to be provided, aside from the cutouts 43 'in the arm bearings 43. It is essential that bending of the fabric shaft 14 with the associated disadvantages is at least largely prevented, in particular that the position of the drop bar 32 relative to the awning housing 10 is also ensured.
Supporting bodies of the type described or similar can be used both in the conventional mounting of the fabric shaft 14 and in combination with its spring-elastic mounting in accordance with one of the exemplary embodiments which are recorded and described in FIGS. 2 to 5.
The amplitude of the deflection of the fabric shaft 14 and its resilient displacement path is indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 6. When the awning fabric is retracted, the fabric shaft 14 has a deflection which is dependent on its respective geometric and mechanical configuration.
The awning cloth can consist of textile material, a mixture of textile and plastic fibers or of a suitable plastic.
