- An awning, in particular a pergola awning, comprising a blind (4) extendable from an awning box (2), with its front end attached to a drop rod (5), and further with lateral guide rails (6) extending from the awning box (2), preferably, in the region of its front ends each one being received on an associated support (7), in which guide rails (6) the blind (4) and the drop rod (5) are guided and which are associated with a spreading device, characterized in that in order to form the spreading the drop rod (5) is provided with laterally protruding spreading elements (12) attached to its lateral ends, and further that the guide rails (6) are provided with inward protruding counter spreading elements (13) positioned in the region of the front end position of the drop rod (5) onto which counter spreading elements (13) the spreading elements (12) of the drop rod (5) run when the front end position is reached, with the counter spreading elements (13) and the spreading elements (12) running onto the latter form a lateral spreading device, whereby the counter spreading elements (13) and the spreading elements (12) running onto the said spreading elements (13) form a lateral spreading device, thus leading to a desirable spreading of the guide rails (6).
- An awning in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that the spreading elements (12) running onto each other and counter spreading elements (13) are provided with mutually facing start up slopes (14, 15), each of them being disposed upstream of an associated, heightened support surface (16, 17).
- An awning in accordance with any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the spreading elements (12) and/or counter spreading elements (13) are designed symmetrically to a vertical median plane.
- An awning in accordance with any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the spreading elements (12) and/or counter spreading elements (13) are designed symmetrically to a median longitudinal plane.
- An awning in accordance with claim 3, characterized in that at least the spreading elements (12) of the drop rod (5) are designed symmetrically to its vertical median plane and are provided with two lateral start up slopes (14) mutually inclined to each other ending at an associated support surface (16).
- An awning in accordance with claim 4, characterized in that at least the counter spreading elements (13) of the guide rails (6) are symmetrically designed to form a median longitudinal plane and are provided with only one support surface (17) with adjacent start up slope (15).
- An awning in accordance with claim 5, characterized in that the spreading elements (12) of the drop rod (5) are provided with an executing recess (21) associated with an attachment element, such reach executing recess (21) being provided in the region of its median transverse plane.
- An awning in accordance with claim 6, characterized in that the counter spreading elements (13) of the guide rails (6) are provided with an execution recess (23) associated with an attachment element, such execution recess (23) being provided in the region of its median longitudinal plane.
- An awning in accordance with claim 5, characterized in that the spreading elements (12) of the drop rod (5) at least in the region of its upper rim are provided with at least one, preferably several protruding drop rod side flaps (18), each one of the flaps (18) being associated with an engaging recess (19) adjacent to the upper rim of the associated end face of the drop rod (5).
- An awning in accordance with claim 6, characterized in that each of the counter spreading elements (13) of the guide rails (6) are located in an associated inner groove (24) of the guide rails (6).
