Definitions
- the invention relates to a cover according to the preamble of claim 1, as used in particular in transformers of energy supply networks.
- shrink hoods were used to cover transformer connecting bolts and the connecting terminals attached to them. During the shrinking process, they fit tightly against the connecting terminal and the connecting bolts and completely cover both parts. Removing the shrink hood was tedious and resulted in the destruction of the shrink hood.
- a cover, on which a removable cap is attached, on the one hand has the effect that the connecting bolt and the connection terminal, which are hidden under the cover, are covered so that they cannot be touched.
- the removable cap enables the parts hidden under the cover hood to be grounded with little effort through an opening covered by the cap.
- grounding is simplified in that a grounding bolt which projects significantly beyond the terminal is arranged on the connecting bolt. This grounding bolt protrudes at least partially beyond the cover and is covered by the cap in the normal state. If the cap is removed, the earthing bolt is easily accessible, which considerably simplifies the attachment of an earthing device.
- the cap is pivotally attached to the cover. This is preferably done by means of a hinge. Because the cap is connected to the cover, it cannot be lost during grounding.
- An attachable cap on the other hand, has the advantage that it enables optimal access to the grounding bolt.
- Optimal security against unauthorized opening of the cap is provided by a fastening, in which a key or tool is used to open the cap is required. In this way, accidental opening by unauthorized persons is safely avoided.
- the grounding device (or a grounding connection thereof) can be plugged onto the cap in normal operation, where it is always ready for use. If the cap is opened with a key or a tool, the grounding device can be used as such a tool for opening due to the similar design of the end regions.
- a spherical configuration enables optimal electrical contact between the grounding bolt and the grounding device.
- the cover can be made in one piece by a production in the immersion process.
- the cover can also consist of two injection molded half shells. This type of production is much cheaper.
- a labyrinth seal at the seams between the two half-shells of the cover hood provides a particularly simple way of providing a secure seal against the surroundings.
- a particularly simple assembly of the cover hood enables a snap connection of the two half-shells.
- a screw connection can be provided for additional protection against unauthorized removal of the cover.
- Fig. 2 shows the first embodiment in an earthed state
- Fig. 3 shows a section through the second embodiment.
- cover 1 shows a cover 1, which covers a connection pin 5, which protrudes from a bushing insulator 3 of a transformer in a power supply network and is live during operation.
- the cover 1 is of almost a mirror image.
- Two mutually corresponding flange regions 1 3 and 14 between the passage for the bushing insulator 3 and the passage for the conductor 9 are connected to one another by means of a screw connection 19 to secure the cover 1 against unauthorized removal.
- Both the screw and the nut of the screw connection 1 9 are made of plastic.
- a cap 17 is provided on the cover 1.
- the connecting bolt 5 is extended upwards and forms an earthing bolt 21 which projects into the cap 17.
- the cap 1 7 is pivotally attached to the two half-shells 1 3 and 14, so that earthing via the earthing pin 21 is possible (see FIG. 2).
- both the grounding bolt 21 and the cap 17 have a spherical end rich 23 or 25 on which the ground connection 27 can be attached.
- Small bores of, for example, 4 mm diameter can also be provided in the cover 1 or the cap 17, through which a voltage tester can be inserted in order to check whether a voltage is present at the grounding bolt 21. If there is no voltage, you can ground and then work on the device.
- the second embodiment in Fig. 3 shows a cover, which consists essentially of two half-shells 1 1 3 and 1 14 of almost mirror-image shape, which are made of injection molded parts.
- a snap connection 1 1 5 connects the two half-shells 1 1 3 and 1 14 to one another.
- a labyrinth seal 1 1 6 seals the abutting edges.
- the second embodiment corresponds to the first embodiment.
