Definitions
- the present invention relates to an automatic sporting apparatus, and more particularly to an automatic sporting apparatus adapted to enable the old and the weak to effectively take exercise in a manual or automatic way.
- the present invention has been made in an effort to solve the above described problems of the prior art, and it is an object of the present invention to provide an automatic sporting apparatus, which has a simple structure and can be manipulated in a manual or automatic way, when needed and which is adapted to enable the old and the weak or students to efficiently take exercise with them being seated on a chair according to physical condition of each individual.
- an automatic sporting apparatus comprising : a chair disposed on a bottom plate so as to be moved upward and downward ; first operating bar mounted on an underside of the chair, for causing the chair to be moved upward and downward ; a cam coupled to a operating piece extended outwardly from one side of the operating bar, for moving the operating bar upward and downward by eccentricity ; a driving means for transmitting torque to cause the can to be rotated ; a grip portion including two operating links, moved upward and downward with it being interlocking to the chair in accordance with upward and downward movement of the chair ; second operating bar extended downwards from the underside of the chair spaced apart from the first operating bar ; a seesaw piece mounted on the bottom plate, one side thereof being contacted with a lower end of the second operating bar
- a reduction means is mounted between the driving means and the cam so as to control the speed of upward and downward movement of the chair.
- Fig. 1 is a perspective view of automatic sporting apparatus in accordance with the present invention.
- Fig. 2 is a tope view illustrating a lower structure of automatic sporting apparatus in accordance with the present invention.
- Fig. 3 is a side view of Fig. 1, which is a operating state.
- FIG. 1 a perspective view of a entire construction of automatic sporting apparatus according to the present invention is shown.
- the automatic sporting apparatus is structured in a chair- form such that a human being can take exercise with him being seated on a chain.
- the chair 1 is constructed such that the legs 2 of the chair 1 can be moved upward and downward along inner cavity in a cylindrical shaped guide bar 4 of which lower end is fixed rigidly on a bottom plate 3. Also, the chair 1 is structured such that on operating bar 5 extended downwardly from the central portion of an underside of the chair 1 can be moved upward and downward along inner cavity in a guide bar 6 of which lower and is fastened to the bottom plate 3, and which is standing upwardly from the bottom plate 3. That is, as the operating bar 5 is moved upward and downward, the chair 1 to which upper end of the operating bar 5 is fastened is moved upward and downward.
- the upward and downward movement of the operating bar 5 is accomplished by rotation of a cam 8 coupled to a operating piece 7 extended outwardly from one side of the operating bar 5.
- the operating piece 7 coupled to the cam 8 is capable of being moved upward and downward by change in variable length produced between circumferential surface of the cam 8 and center of the rotation shaft 9 in accordance with rotation of the cam 8. That is to say, rotational movement of the cam 8 is transformed into upward and downward movement of the chair 1 by means of the operating piece 7.
- the operating piece fixed to the one side of the operating bar 5 is moved upward and downward through a cut opening formed on one side of a circumferential surface of the guide bar 6.
- Torque is applied to the cam 8, and power is transmitted to the operating bar 5 by a gear 11 coupled to the rotation shaft 9.
- a chain 12 or other power transmitting means is engaged with the gear 11 so that power can be transmitted to the gear 11 by a motor 13 as a power source.
- a reduction unit 14 is disposed between the cam 8 and the motor 13, and torque of the motor 13 is reduced to proper torque which the reduction unit 14 needs.
- power transmitting speed may be controlled by transmitting power directly by means of low speed motor or controlling the number of rotations of a motor.
- a motor as a power source was employed, but other power source except a motor may be used.
- the gear 11 As power is transmitted to the gear 11 by such power source, the gear 11 is rotated so that the operating piece 7 coupled to the cam is elevated. Therefore, the operating bar 5 also is moved upward at the same time as chair 1 of which underside is fixed to an upper end of the operating bar 5. As shown in Fig. 3, when the chair 1 is moved upward a grip portion 20 including two operating links 21, 22 is lifted and at the same time is rotated.
- the Grip portion 21 is formed of generally a reversed shape of character "L" and includes two operating links 21, 22 having 3 hinge points, respectively.
- one end of the operating link 22 vertical to a bottom plate 3 is rotatable fixed to outside surface of a guide bar 4 so that one hinge point can be formed, which in turn serves to support and fix the operating link 22.
- the other end of the operating link 22 is rotatable fixed to one end of the operating link 21 horizontal to the bottom plate 3 so that another hinge point can be formed, and a point near the one end of the operating link 21 is fixed to both upper side of the seat back of the chair 1 so that the other hinge point can be formed.
- the horizontal operating link 21 is rotated in clock-wise as donated in a arrow in Fig. 3 through the third hinge point formed on the chair 1 as a result, while the chair 1 is elevated at the same time as the grip portion 20, both arms of a person who is seated on the chair 1 and take exercise are lifted.
- a rotating shaft 41 as a hinge axis is mounted to a central portion of the seesaw piece 40, and both side end of the rotating shaft 41 is supported by a bearing 42 so that the seesaw piece can be freely moved upward and downward around the rotating shaft 41, a foothold is provided on the other side of the seesaw piece 40 so that user can step his foot on it.
- a foothold 50 goes down and a grip portion 20 is lifted so that a person sitting on the chair 1 can take exercise such as he raises his hand high and at the same time stretch out his foot.
- the grip portion 20 returns to its original position, and at the same time the foothold 50 is lifted.
- a person taking exercise can have his arms gone down and have his knee bent. Through a series of repetitive motion such as a person sitting on the chair 1 stretch or bend his arms and legs respectively in accordance with elevation of the chair 1, he can take proper exercise.
- the chair 1 is lifted automatically by turn effect of a motor so that a person may take exercise, but he can take exercise in an manual way equal to power by a motion such as he push a foothold 50 down or otherwise raise a grip portion 20 without using power.
- the automatic sporting apparatus in accordance with the present invention keeps form generally equal to a chair, it provides people with a place to take a rest comfortably, and since its mounting (space need not be so large, anyone can take exercise easily by) mounting it in a dwelling house.
- the automatic sporting apparatus in accordance with the present invention keeps form generally equal to a chair, it provides people with a place to take a rest comfortably, and since its mounting (space need not be so large, anyone can take exercise easily by) mounting it in a dwelling house.
