Definitions
- the invention relates to the tactile part of a pressure sensor.
- a structure interspersed with axial bores is illuminated from one end face and on the other end face the emitted light intensity per bore is detected and / or passed on.
- By exerting axial pressure on such a bore or over a large area on several or all of the bores its clear width can be narrowed, as a result of which less light emerges on the light exit side depending on the pressure.
- the light intensity measured or transmitted at the lumen output is thus a measure of the pressurization on the light entry side.
- a tactile, optoelectronic pressure sensor is known.
- the tactile part of the sensor consists of an opaque, rubber-like body provided with axial collimator bores, which can be irradiated from one side with an electroluminescent luminous film.
- the holes change their clear width under the action of axial pressure.
- the light that is still passing through is passed on to the light exit side of the individual bores or its intensity is measured using optoelectronic means, so that the influence of pressure can be represented with a point grid depending on the location.
- the disadvantage of the tactile part of this sensor is that it is inevitable to influence the change in the clear width of the holes under pressure.
- the rubber-like material is squeezed radially to the side, so that the radially surrounding bores are curved by the bore on which the maximum pressure acts and are no longer rotationally symmetrical under pressure action.
- the locally measured force effect is thus falsified due to this cross-influencing.
- the detection of light guides arranged in a matrix avoids such cross-influences.
- Such an arrangement is known from EA 0 328 7 ⁇ 3 AI, with which pressures can be measured in a spatially resolved manner with raster accuracy.
- the type of pressure applied to the rows and columns of the matrix is radial, as is the case with a fiber-optic sensor according to DE 32 36 435 C2.
- the principle here is to reduce the transmitted light intensity in a light guide channel by constriction under the action of pressure or force.
- the disadvantage here is that the elements of the matrix can only be read out successively by driving the matrix elements (optical fiber nodes).
- the tactile part of an optoelectronic sensor is to be designed in such a way that there is a clear connection between the axial pressure effect on the light irradiation side and the locally emitted light intensity on the light emission side and the locally different pressure on an action surface in the form of correspondingly influenced transmitted light intensities is detected simultaneously.
- the invention is achieved by a tactile, optoelectronic pressure sensor according to claim 1.
- the pressure sensor consists of a rigid body which has a matrix of axial bores. In each hole there is a hollow cylinder made of elastic material lying against the wall. Each of these hollow cylinders protrudes somewhat on one free end of the body and is flush on the other.
- the protruding hollow cylinders are covered by an electroluminescent film that shines into the hollow cylinders with a non-reflecting or at best diffusely reflecting inner wall. With axial pressure acting on the Hohizylinders, these change their cross-section depending on the pressure and thus the transmitted light intensity.
- a subordinate • Toelectronic evaluation unit detects the individual transmitted, pressure-dependent light intensities.
- Subclaim 2 characterizes the electroluminescent film which radiates into the tactile part and does not have to radiate over the entire surface.
- a light source is only required there, on which an elastic hollow cylinder (tube) is positioned. Therefore, a z. B. cut or punched net-like light source, the nodes of which cover the inner cylinder wall and the fiber ends at the other end.
- the film (claim 1) or the net-like film structure could be glued to the hollow cylinder end faces so that no displacement can occur. However, this is not meaningful because of the necessary possible change in cross-section of the lumen of the hollow cylinder.
- the matrix material remains dimensionally stable mechanically up to the maximum intended axial pressure, ie. H. behaves rigidly.
- it must also be tissue-friendly and chemically resistant to contact and sterilizable (claims 3 and 4).
- the light entry side of the tactile part with the electroluminescent film lying thereon is covered with a soft, highly elastic, opaque skin, which is also tissue-friendly, chemically resistant and sterilizable, in particular also to shield the effects of extraneous light.
- electrical insulation to the outside is thus also established (claim 5).
- each hollow cylinder or each pressure element (each individual sensor) is completely decoupled from the others in the matrix with regard to elasticity and cross-influencing, the pressure-dependent reduction of the respective lumen cross-section is solely due to the axial effect there Attributed to pressure.
- the pressure effect depending on the location, area-wise or locally depending on the location, is thereby reproduced without being distorted by the individual light intensity measurement.

- the tube 2 protrudes somewhat from the upper matrix surface, at least to such an extent that the lumen 3 closes completely with the corresponding axial pressure and the front side of the tube is at most flush with the matrix surface. - the optical waveguide 6 can be an optical fiber bundle or a single fiber, depending on the size ratio of the individual sensor 1, 2, 3, 4. It is essential, however, that in the case of a matrix structure, a location can be assigned. For this purpose, the optical waveguides 6 must go from the individual sensors in an orderly fashion from the tactile part to the optoelectronic converter matrix which, like the individual sensors, consists of the corresponding arrangement of optoelectronic evaluation units. CCD chips are very suitable for this.
- the sensor or the matrix 7 according to FIG. 2 made of brass shows a square array of the individual sensors. Another form of the array is also possible if it were necessary for a particular application.
- the covering of the array on the light entry side by the luminescent film 1 can be continuous. However, it is expedient to structure the luminescent film 1 as outlined in FIG. 3. The individual sensors at the edge are covered by the respective fiber extension 9 of the network structure 10. The electrical connection of the film or of the network 11 is on one side or the fiber ends 9 of one side are combined for this. Such a network 11 made of luminescent film 1 is more elastic than a coherent film.
- the structure of the tactile sensor part sketched according to FIG. 2 is intended for use in medicine, specifically for palpating tissue.
- the electroluminescent luminescent film 1 is 0.17 mm thick.
- the inserted tubes 2 In the unloaded state, the inserted tubes 2 have an outside diameter of 0.8 mm and a clear width of the lumen 3 of 0.35 mm.

Abstract
Description
Da¬ her genügt eine z.
