Abstract

Les informations supplémentaires contenues dans un signal télévisuel ou radio comprennent des informations sur un ou plusieurs nombres de pages correspondantes qui sont transmises de façon répétée dans un signal de programme pendant une plus longue période, sans corrélation dans le temps avec le contenu de ce programme. Ces pages renferment des informations plus détaillées, par exemple sur les produits présentés dans le signal de programme, sous forme de spot publicitaire. Les informations supplémentaires reçues sont temporairement mémorisées, côté récepteur, pendant une durée déterminée. En réponse à une première instruction de l'utilisateur, des informations textuelles, éventuellement graphiques, conjointement avec la/ou les pages correspondantes, contenues dans les informations supplémentaires reçues le plus récemment, sont présentées avec la palette de produits offerts. L'utilisateur choisit, au moyen d'un marqueur variable, les produits qu'il désire parmi ceux présentés. En réponse à une deuxième instruction de l'utilisateur, les informations de commande associées au produit désiré, sont extraites de la/ou des pages correspondantes et transmises à un central automatique (par exemple un modem). Les informations de commande sont complétées par un numéro d'abonné qui identifie l'utilisateur et qui est mémorisé, par exemple dans une mémoire PROM. A la place d'une information de commande et d'une information d'abonné, il est également possible, pour des enquêtes d'opinion, d'inclure, dans les pages représentées, plusieurs questions optionnelles et de transmettre au modem la réponse choisie par l'utilisateur par marquage, en tant qu''information de commande' (information sur le choix de l'utilisateur).
