  • the present invention refers to a locking device at safety lockers of the kind that is used i.a. as lockers for firearms, and that fulfils the requirements set up by the authorities concerning safety against burglary.
  • Safety lockers are a type of cabinet which can be used for different objects desired to be protected from unauthorized persons, and these safety lockers are unlike safes not fireproof and can therefore be made simpler, lighter and cheaper than corresponding safes, and are primarily used for keeping of firearms in accordance with Authority regulations.
  • Such safety lockers often have different reinforcements and inserts of specially resistant materials in order to make all attempts to break open the locker more difficult.
  • the locking device at such safety lockers often consists of a number of cylindrical locking bolts, which via a link motion arranged in the door, can be brought to enter simultaneously into a number of corresponding seats in the locker body along the doorway.
  • Such locking devices are well-tried, but have relatively complicated structural design and the risk for malfunction increases thereby, at the same time as the manufacturing cost becomes high.
  • US-A-1,387,332 describes a lockable door provided with a bolting device incorporating a first locking means firmly mounted to the door frame, and a second locking means which is movably arranged along the door leaf, and where the locking means are provided with mutually corresponding recesses and protrusions, which protrusions are adapted in one displacement position for the movable locking means to be situated just in front of the recesses in the fixedly mounted locking means, thereby permitting opening and closing of the door, and in another displacement position to be located just in front of the corresponding protrusions in the fixedly mounted locking means and thereby preventing opening of the door.
  • These locking means are constituted by a C-shaped frame, which forms the fixedly mounted locking means and which is attached to the door frame on all sides except on the hinge side, whereas the movable means extends over essentially the entire outer edge of the door leaf and is formed as a square frame.
  • the C-shaped fixed frame is provided with said recesses and protrusions on arms situated at the upper and lower edges of the door frame, whereas the square-formed, movable frame or locking means has corresponding recesses and protrusions on the corresponding sides, i.e. on the short sides of the door.
  • the purpose of the present invention is to provide a locking device at safety lockers of the kind described in the preamble, which provides another solution of the locking mechanism, which in a simple and particularly efficient way provides a construction that is safe and hard to break open, at the same time as the locking device is technically simple to produce and thereby cheap, and where the opening and closing movements can be effected in a manner requiring only small forces, and this has been achieved by the features defined in the accompanying claim 1.

  • the cam profiles 11, 12 are designed with evenly spaced cams 11a, 12a of mutually the same size and with evenly spaced cam gaps lib, 12b also of mutually the same size and with a width and a depth somewhat exceeding the width and depth of the cams 11a, 12a.
  • the locking girders 11, 12 are in such a mutual displacement position that all the cams 11a, 12a are just in front of the corresponding cam gaps 12b, lib, in which position the locking girder 11 together with the door leaf 5 can be swung around the hinges 4 without being hindered by the fixed locking girder 12.
  • the movable locking girder 11 which is provided in the door leaf may be displaced by turning a handle 17, which is connected to a latch 18 arranged when being turned in one direction to move the movable locking girder to the open position shown in Fig. 2, and at turning in the opposite direction moving the movable locking girder to a blocked locking position, in which the cams 11a in the movable locking girder 11 are situated behind the cams 12a in the fixed locking girder 12, thereby preventing opening of the door leaf 5.
  • the movable locking girder 11 is locked by the lock 8 and its locking bolt.
  • Fig. 3 is shown a section along line III-III in Fig. 2 showing the side of the door leaf 5 turned away from the hinge side and fitted between an upper and a lower frame. From this view it appears that the movable locking girder 11 is provided with a support girder 10 and it also shows a number of openings one of which, 20, is intended to receive the blasting safety device 16, one, 21, being intended for the locking bolt 9 and one, 22, being intended for the latch 18.
  • Fig. 4 shows the door leaf 5 along line IV-IV in Fig. 2 and from this view appears i.a. the positioning of an upper and a lower reinforcement plate 23 respective 24, which at the same time define limitations for the movement of the movable locking girder, whereby the upper plate 23 limits the movement in open position and the lower plate 24 limits the movement in closed and bolted position.
  • the bolted position is situated at the lower part of the locker an attempt to put the locking device out of order will result in movement of the movable locking girder 11 to its lower, blocked position by gravity.
  • both matching cam profiles can be produced from one piece of raw material in a single nibbling operation, which gives a minimum of machining time, at the same time as problems with matching and post treatment for exact congruence are eliminated.

Abstract

Dispositif de verrouillage pour armoires de sécurité constituées d'un corps d'armoire (1) présentant un vantail de porte (5) fixé par son côté muni de charnières, un dispositif de liaison par boulons pouvant être déplacé en une position verrouillée et une position non verrouillée dans l'encadrement de la porte, et des moyens de verrouillage du dispositif de liaison par boulons en position boulonnée. Ledit dispositif de liaison par boulons se compose d'un premier moyen de verrouillage (12) fixé au dormant de la porte et d'un deuxième moyen de verrouillage (11) mobile le long du vantail de la porte (5), ces derniers (11, 12) présentant des parties évidées (12b, 11b) et des parties saillantes (12a, 11a) correspondantes disposées de sorte que, dans une position de déplacement, la position du moyen de verrouillage mobile (11) coïncide avec ces dernières, ce qui permet d'ouvrir et de fermer la porte, et que dans une autre position de déplacement, lesdites parties évidées et parties saillantes soient en regard, empêchent ainsi l'ouverture de la porte. Lesdits moyens de verrouillage (12, 11) sont constitués de longerons droits et allongés, le longeron fixe (12) s'étendant le long du bord longitudinal du dormant de la porte à l'opposé du côté à charnières, et le longeron mobile (11) uniquement mobile dans le sens longitudinal s'étendant le long du vantail à l'intérieur de celui-ci.
