Abstract

A device for vertically and laterally reinforcing optionally movable vertical panels made of various materials. The device consists of a shaped section (1) made of cold-drawn steel and attached to the side of a panel (2), and a shaped section (3) made of light alloy or of composite or synthetic materials and designed to be fastened over the first section (1) to form a uniform reinforcement. When mounted on a plain panel (2), the reinforcement also acts as a vertical handle, e.g. for a sliding door, and when mounted on a composite panel, it allows a decorative plate (11) to be added, can be reversed, and provides a panoramic effect, particularly when multiple panels are present.
