Definitions

  • the invention relates to a transport packaging made of corrugated cardboard in the manner of a shipping folding box with right-angled side faces, consisting of a lower part which is open on the upper side and in the predominant area of its front with a closed bottom area and a removable covering the open side areas of the lower part Cover part, wherein the lower part is erected from a one-piece blank, which has the four side surfaces, each with a hinged bottom flap and an adhesive flap on one side surface, the front side surface being significantly lower in height than the other side surfaces.
  • the transport packaging of the generic type represents a transport packaging that can be used as a tray. With this transport packaging, sales products have been supplied to the trade for some time.
  • This known transport packaging consists of a lower part which is open at the top and in the predominant area of its front side and which is closed with a slip lid. The slip lid covers all side surfaces of the lower part with the exception of the bottom surface.
  • a disadvantage of this transport packaging is that, due to the slip cover covering the lower part over a large area, a relatively large amount of material has to be used.
  • the object of the invention is to improve a generic transport packaging with a view to a significantly reduced material consumption.
  • this object is achieved according to the invention in that the lid part formed by erecting from a one-piece blank from a lid top punched in the longitudinal direction of the wave shape in the blank with the Lower part of corresponding width and length and a front of the lid hinged along a transverse groove and perpendicular to the top of the lid, with a width corresponding to the width of the lower part and a length corresponding to the height of the lower part, and on both sides on the longitudinal edges of the upper and lower lid Lid front hinged and right-angled narrow side flaps, each with a hinged pull tab, the side flaps are glued to the adjacent side surface of the lower part.
  • a transport packaging made of corrugated cardboard is created in which the cover part essentially only covers the open side surfaces of the lower part and is fastened to the side surfaces of the lower part by means of side flaps.
  • the transport packaging according to the invention has a high compressive strength and torsional stability, since the cover part is punched out of corrugated cardboard in the longitudinal direction of the corrugation and the front cover can thus absorb the same compressive load as the full-surface side parts of the lower part.
  • the torsional stability and torsional rigidity of the transport packaging result from the fact that the cover part is glued to the respective side faces of the lower part via the hinged side flaps.
  • the respective adhesive connection of the side flaps must be torn open by exerting a tensile force on the tear-open tabs. The ceiling healing can then be removed.
  • Another advantage of the transport packaging according to the invention is that the side face of the lower part opposite the lid front is not covered by a lid side face. With the same dimensions of the lower part, the transport packaging according to the invention thus results in an outer dimension of the transport packaging in the longitudinal direction that is reduced by the amount of corrugated cardboard compared to a previously known transport packaging with slip lid. This leads to the transport packaging according to the invention having standardized (ISO dimensions) packaging can be filled and yet a full-surface, space-free loading of standardized transport pallets is possible.
