  • This invention relates to the use of a deformable and curable hand interface.
  • human hands are in repetitive or continuous contact with objects, particularly under pressure then various short and long term medical problems can develop.
  • These problems are invariably caused by the hand interface which is not ideal. This means the pressure loading on the hand can be localised, inhibiting blood supply, deadening nerves and damaging tissue.
  • Another problem may be caused by the hand interface not facilitating control, this leads to the hand requiring to a greater grip control force and hence greater pressure and muscle action to achieve the necessary control, exacerbating pressure related problems and accelerating muscle fatigue.
  • the principle objective of this invention is to provide a deformable and curable material in a form that is easy to apply to typical hand interfaces.
  • the invention does not relate in the main to the type of material but to the application of such a material.

Abstract

Substance déformable et durcissable utilisable sur une interface manuelle. On extrude la substance pour lui donner une forme simple ou complexe de manière à en faciliter la déformation en fonction de l'application désirée. La forme complexe présente une surface de contact supérieure continue mais possède des sections creuses et des pieds faisant saillie vers le bas de manière à former un profil ressemblant à un peigne. Le profil complexe peut être une section horizontale courte, une courbe ou un cercle entier. Lorsqu'il utilise une interface manuelle déformable et durcissable, l'utilisateur peut jouir des avantages d'une empreinte parfaitement adaptée à sa main. Le points normaux de concentration de la pression appliquée par la main assurent la dispersion du matériau afin d'obtenir une meilleure répartition des charges de pression et, de ce fait, une interface manuelle parfaite.
