- the number of paths in the stands for cold-rolling depends on the desired final thickness and the reduction percentage which is to be obtained, in other words the ratio between thick ⁇ ness of the hot-rolled strip and thickness of the final product. For high values of such a percentage reduction it is not enough to increase the number of said paths, but it will be necessary to subject the strip to another annealing operation and the consequent pickling, otherwise the material hardens and final product results to be of low quality.

Abstract
Un procédé de fabrication de bobines de feuillards ayant des caractéristiques de produits laminés à froid mais qui sont directement obtenus dans une chaîne de laminage à chaud comprend deux étapes ultérieures de coulée et de réduction de l'épaisseur à une température supérieure à 1100 °C lors de la solidification, l'échauffement par induction du produit et une étape additionnelle de laminage à chaud à une température supérieure au point Ar3, une étape de refroidissement et d'ajustement de la température dans une plage comprise entre 600 et 250 °C, donc inférieure audit point Ar3, ainsi qu'un ou plusieurs passages de laminage à froid en série, puis le bobinage final du produit ainsi obtenu. Une installation préférée de mise en ÷uvre de ce procédé est également décrite.
