Definitions
- the present invention relates to a fiber-reinforced polyamide resin composition and a method for producing the same, particularly to a method for producing a fiber-reinforced resin composition.
- the present invention relates to a composition serving as a raw material of a molded article having strong adhesion and excellent mechanical strength, and a method for producing the composition with good productivity.
- BACKGROUND ART Composite materials of various reinforcing fibers and thermoplastic resins are used for electric parts, automobile parts, etc., from light weight, high strength, and corrosion resistance.
- the fiber-reinforced resin compositions used in these applications are roughly classified into the following: melt-kneaded short fiber glass fibers and thermoplastic resin in a melt extruder and extrude them into thin rods.
- a long-fiber reinforced pellet cut into a predetermined length after impregnation with a plastic resin is known.
- the port life after mixing the two liquids is relatively short, and the port life from the mixing section to the impregnating section is relatively short.
- Problems with the transfer process or the imbalance in the supply to the impregnation zone, slow polymerization speed, low productivity, and clogging or pulling out of the mold in the polymerization process Has problems such as increased resistance 0
- the method of the present invention which can overcome the above-mentioned problems, is capable of continuously mixing two liquid lactams to which an anion polymerization catalyst and an activator are added, respectively. After impregnating the long fiber-shaped reinforcing fibers and immediately coating with a molten thermoplastic resin, the lactams inside the coating are anion-polymerized in a heating tank, and the coating layer is further formed. It is characterized in that it is cut to a predetermined length without stripping or removing it.

- Controlled polymerization tank with a length of 30 m the reaction solution was cured face-to-face in I 8, water-cooled in a cooling water tank 19, and then taken off by a take-off machine 20.
- the thermoplastic resin coating layer 14 on the surface is removed by the separating device 21, and the polymerized glass fiber reinforced nylon 6 resin filament inside is reduced to about 10 M. And cut into pellets.
- this composition After drying this composition at 80 for 12 hours, it was supplied to an injection molding machine with a screw diameter of 16 nin and LD power ⁇ 28 to 13.5 X 12 mm s Bending test specimen with a thickness of 3 mm (according to ASTM D-790) and tensile specimen with a dumbbell shape (according to ASTM D-638) of 13 x 16 mm, 2.4 ran thickness Were molded, and their physical properties were measured under the following conditions.
- Constant speed elongation type testing machine with a pulling speed of 5 mm (stock One 1 —
- Bending strength The distance between the fulcrum points of the bending test piece of the specified shape is 50
- Example 2 Except that carbon fiber was used as the reinforcing fiber, a carbon fiber reinforced nylon 6 resin filament was formed in exactly the same manner as in Example 1, and this was made into a pellet. A test piece similar to that of Example 1 was prepared by injection molding, and the physical properties were measured. When a commercial product sized with an epoxy resin was tested as a carbon fiber orifice, inhibition of lactam anion polymerization was observed. On the other hand, when carbon fibers that had not been subjected to sizing treatment were used, polymerization inhibition did not occur, but the roving was not collected. However, it was difficult to prevent single yarn breakage during the molding process, and it was practically unusable.
- a commercially available non-sizing product (trade name: Magnamate AS4, manufactured by Sumika Harcures Co., Ltd.) is used. Those that had been sizing-processed with a resin-based resin were used.
- the die used in this embodiment was replaced with a die 30a of a withdrawal type as shown in FIG. 3 instead of the die head 30 of FIG. 2 used in the first embodiment.
- molten nylon 6 resin product name: 1022B, manufactured by Ube Industries, Ltd.
- the inner lactam was polymerized and solidified in the same manner as in Example 1 except for the above, and subsequently pelletized.
- nitrogen gas is introduced from a pipe (not shown) into the inner space 15 of the coating layer 14 to create a nitrogen gas atmosphere, and the pipe 16 is connected to a pressure reducing device. Then, the space is decompressed to improve the adhesion between the impregnated sleeve strong fiber 12 and the coating layer 14.
- the obtained pellet-like composition is difficult to peel off the coating layer in a state where the polymerized and solidified Nylon 6 resin and the N-Din 6 resin of the coating layer are adhered to each other.
- the nylon 6 resin of the coating layer can also be used as a matrix resin, and the volume content of glass fiber was 15%, and when this was used to measure the physical properties of the test piece by injection molding in the same manner as in Example 1, it was found that the physical properties corresponded to the glass fiber content ratio. It was confirmed that the material was obtained and that it could be sufficiently practically used.
- a reaction solution that can be mixed with anion is impregnated into a reinforcing fiber, and the outer periphery thereof is seamlessly covered with a thermoplastic resin. Therefore, as in the prior art, the ITI, which has a short pot life of the reaction solution, requires less during the polymerization, but can be used for the impregnation process or the drawing polymerization process. Troubles tend to occur frequently, and conversely, if the potfift is long, the length of the die for drawing polymerization must be lengthened. As a result, a fiber-reinforced resin composition can be easily obtained on a device and in handling. Further, the composition of the present invention can be used for bonding a reinforcing fiber to a resin. It has high strength and has excellent practicality as a material for processing and molding.
