Definitions

  • Swivel table arrangement for mounting on a vehicle seat
  • the invention relates to a swivel table arrangement for mounting on a vehicle part, in particular a vehicle seat, with a table top which can be pivoted about a main axis between a folded out use position and a folded down storage position.
  • the invention relates in particular, but not exclusively, to an improved swivel table arrangement for the seats in commercial aircraft.
  • the known aircraft seats have a table top mounted on the backrest, on which, in the folded-out use position, in which the plate assumes a substantially horizontal position, not only the food served, but also containers, bottles, cups, mugs, glasses and the like for Drinks are turned off. Since these containers are practically unsupported, drinks are spilled relatively frequently, whether as a result of carelessness on the part of the user or due to wobbling movements of the aircraft. After meals or on short flights, the table top is often used as a desk or work surface.
