Definitions

  • the invention relates to a circuit arrangement for operating a brushless single-phase motor, in particular a hysteresis motor, on the DC network of motor vehicles of the type defined in the preamble of claim 1.
  • Hysteresis motors offer the advantage of asynchronous starting with a relatively high starting torque and synchronous running after self-synchronization with a torque, the maximum of which is determined by the hysteresis torque.
  • the two amplifiers are controlled by a resonant circuit with a constant frequency. If the DC voltage of the motor vehicle electrical system drops below a lower value in this circuit arrangement, the motor can no longer start because the motor current decreases as a result of the AC resistance. If, on the other hand, the line voltage rises above an upper value, the motor current increases inadmissibly.
  • the permissible voltage range between the upper and lower value is relatively small, so that in the case of the voltage fluctuations usually occurring in motor vehicle electrical systems, which can be between 6 V and 16 V, circuitry-intensive measures would have to be provided in order to ensure the correct operation of the hysteresis motor
