  • the tetrachloroisophthalonitrile dispersion may be added to either water-based or solvent-based protective coating formulations. From about 2 to about 100 lbs of the dispersion per 100 gallons of formulation is required. The dispersion may be added to the finished protective coating formulation or may be incorporated as one of the components during manufacture of the protective coating formulation.

Abstract

Une poudre finement divisee de tetrachloroisophtalonitrile est dispersee dans un milieu consistant en un melange de sulfonate d'alkylaryl calcium, agent de surface non-ionique, d'acide gras ou d'ester, d'agent de couplage et eventuellement de lecithine. Ce milieu permet d'obtenir une dispersion de tetrachloroisophtalonitrile compatible avec l'eau et les solvants organiques qui presente une viscosite permettant l'ecoulement et le pompage ainsi qu'une resistance a la sedimentation. Cette dispersion est utile a titre d'agent antimicrobien dans les revetements a base d'eau ou de solvants tels que des peintures.
