i To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOHN HAMER, a. citizen of Great Britain, residing in the county of Dutchess and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be Printed on Druggets, Felts, or other Fabrics used vfor Carpeting, or to be inwrought in such colors as may be desired; and I do hereby declare that the photographic print accompanying this specileation does give and convey to any one skilled in the art of carpet-printing a more definite and thorough description of the nature of my invention than it is in the power of language to convey, and it is sucient to enable any one skilled in the art of carpet-printing to use my invention.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

IThe conguration of the design hereunto annexed, when made by being printed on druggets, felts, or other fabrics used for carpeting, or inwrought in the form similar to the photographic print accompanying this specification.
