Be it known that 1, JOHN HAMER, a citizen of Great Britain, residing in the county of Dutchess and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Mat or Hug Pattern to be Printed on Druggets, Felts, or other Fabrics used for Carpeting, or to be inwrought in such colors as may be desired; and I do hereby de' clare that the photographic print accompanying this specification does give and convey to any one skilled in the art of carpet-printing a more definite and thorough description of the nature of my invention than it is in the power of language to convey, and it is suifi- W itnesses WM.
