Be it known' that I, FREDERICK WINK, of the city and county ot' Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented a Design for Shawl Iattern, of whieh the following is a specification z In the accompanying' drawing, Figure 1 is a diagram, showing the relative arrangement of the stripes A and B, of which the pattern is composed. Fig. 2 is a View ot' one-halt' of the stripe A; Fig. 3, a view of onehalf o1" the stripe B.

The stripe A has three ribs, 0L` (L a, and the stripe B, a single rib, u, each ornamented by :t dotted edging, and by internal groups of dots and bars, arranged in a manner so clearly shown as to need no minute description; and

the said stripes are otherwise composed of a number of minor parallel stripes, bars, or ribs ot' different widths and shades or colors, some strongly contrasted, and others blended into each other, as shown.

Irrespeetive oi' the colors employed, I claim- The design for a shawl-pattern, as described, and as represented in and by the accompanying drawing.
