Be it known that I, FREDERICK WINK, of the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, hnve invented a Design for ShawLPatterp, of which the following is a specification:

My design for a shawl-pattern, which is clearly illustrated by the figure in the aecompauyng drawing, consists in the peculiar arrangement and grouping of a, series of Wide and narrow parallel stripes, bars, or ribs of dif'erent shades or colors, some being strongly contrasted, and others shaded or blended into each other, as shown, the complete design being illustrated in the drawing, andthe rexnainder being merely a repetition oi' that which appears.
