Specification forming part of Design No.6,l-109, dated February 11, 1873.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, FREDERICK WINK, of the city and county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented ny Design for a ShaWlPattern, of which the following is a specification:

The principal features of iny design for a shawl-pattern, which is fully represented in the accompanying drawing, are the stripes A and B and the intervening body C, the latter being either plain or mottled, as shown. The stripe A is composed of :t series of narrow stripes, ribs, or bars, some of which are blended together by shading, as shown, and the said stripe is ornamented by a centra-l rib, a', through the center of which extends a longitudinal row of alternate dots and short bars, and by a series of narrow ribs, b, each composed also of a row of alternate dots and bars. The stripe is composed of :t series of parallel minor stripes, and has a` central rib, d, ornalnented by a series of longitudinal rows of alternate dots and liars.

Irrespectiveof the colors employed, I claim- 1. The design for the stri pe A, :is shown.

2. The design for the stripe B, as shown.

3. The design for the Whole pattern, ns Shown.
