Specification describing a Design for a Shau'l- Pattern, invented by FREDERICK YVINK, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Design for a Shawl-Pattern.

The ligure in the accompanying drawing shows sutiicient of a shawl-pattern to illustrate my design, the principal features of' which are the wide stripe A and narrow stripe B. The latter is composed of tive parallel ribs, a, b, c, d, and e, of equal Width, the whole of which are crossed by straight, diagonal, and zigzag lines, by the combination of which the peculiar pattern illustrated is produced. The stripe A has a central bar, f, composed of a series of ornamented ribs, having the same general characteristics as the stripe B. The

stripe A is also ornamentod near its outer edges by narrow ribs g and h ofthe character represented.
