Specification forming part of Design No. 6,080, dated August 20, 1872.

Specification describing a Design for a Shawl Pattern, invented by FREDERICK \VINK, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Design for at Shawl-Pattern.

In the accompanying drawing, the figure represents sufiicient of a shawl-pattern to fully illustrate the design, the main feature of which are the stripes A, B, and 0. As the stripes A and B are precisely alike on both sides of their center lines a: and y, it has not been deemed necessary to illustrate more than one half of either of the said stripes. Both stripes Aand B are composed of minor parallel stripes or ribs of varying widths and of different shades or colors, and the stripe A has a central rib, a, ornamented by dots, and by straight, zigzag, diagonal, and curved lines, so combined as to form the peculiar figuring represented. The stripe O is ornamented by a series of bars, dots, and irregular figures, of a character too clearly shown in the drawing to need description.

Irrespective of the colors employ ed, I clai m- 1. The design for the stripe A, substantially as shown and described.

2. The design for the stripe U, substantially as described and represented.

3. The design for the whole pattern, including the stripes A, B, and G.
