Be it known that I, FREDERICK WINK, of the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, llave invented a Design for Shawl-Pattern, ot' which the following is a speciteation:

My design for a striped shawl-pattern is fully illustrated bythe accompanying drawing, in Which- Figure l isa diagram, showing the relative arrangement of the stripes A and B, of which the pattern is composed; Fig. 2, a view ofonehaltA of the stripe A; and Fig. 3, a View of the stripe B.

The main peculiarities of the stripe A are the central rib a and ribs b at the edges, each elaborately ornainented by dots, short transverse bars, and dialnointshaped gnrcs. The stripe is otherwise composed of a series of parallel plain bars or ribs of different widths and shades or colors. rlhe stripe B has a central rib, d, of the same character as that of the stripe A, and at either side ofthe saine a series of narrow plain ribs.

Irrespective of the colors employed, I claim- 1. The design for the stripe A, as shown and described.

2. The design for the whole pattern, including the stripes A and B.
