a is a scroll-ligure of peculiar formation, the lower end of which, b, is bent and curled, as shown. This scroll forms the centra-l figure of the design. Behind it, and divided by it, are two halves of a circle, formed in the following manner, viz: lhe center f is a solid black disk surrounded by gold, black, and white lines alternately. c is a solid gold or colored band bordered by black, white, and gold lines; the whole being surrounded by an ornamental scroll-border, d, substantially as shown. 'This completes the central portion of the design. The side Gr is a plain ground of gold or color surrounded by a border formed of one broad and two narrow lines, the former being in the 'I also in tend to print it in various colors and combinations of colors; but in all cases preserving intact the scroll a b, the haltl circles and lines fc d, and the line and dotted hordere, above described, which in all cases will be substantially the same.
What I claim as my invention is- A design for labels formed of a combination of a scroll, two 'half circles, and a line` anddotted border, substantially as shown.
