The above-mentioned rings or hoops (D D' Y and E E') may be decorated by garlands or A other suitable decoration; but the said garlands orother decoration are not to be considered as essential elements of the design.
1 prefer to paint the shaded parts b' b b", b' b b", b' b b", b' b b" some darker color than the rest of the trellis, so as to render these parts less conspicuous; but I do not consider the color of the said parts as an essential element of the design.
The star-disk G in the center and the Wirestar F F' surrounding said star-disk are but additional ornaments, which may be varied or omitted at pleasure, and Which I do not consider as essential parts of the design. H H' are legs or sha-nhs, for the purpose of being stuck in the soil ot' a iioWer-pot or other suitable support. These legs or shanks do not form essential parts ofthe design, and may be omitted'if not required for said purpose.
