FRANCIS G. DIET Z, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FORA GARMENT-SUPPORTER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,548, dated January '7, 1902.
Application filed December 5, 1901. Serial No. 84,836. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern/.-
Be it known that I, FRANCIS G./D-IETZ,WET it aea m llielln lefl-fitates; residin at New brk, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Garment- Supporters, of which the following is a specification.
My invention consists in the design for a garment-s upporter, substantially as shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a garmentsupporter made according to my design. Fig. 2 is a rear elevation of the same, and Fig. 3 is a top plan view.
The base 1 of the supporter made according to my design is bent at a point adjacent to its center to form the back 2 and the front 3, the said back and front being connected at the bend referred to by a substantially circular web 4. The back 2 is provided at its center with a circular opening 5 and has adjacent to its side edge and upper and lower ends the elongated openings 6. The front 3 has the side edge thereof bent inwardly to form a lip or flange 7, and said front has secured to it a hook 8.
nected to the front 3 at a point adjacent to the center of the latter and extends through an opening therein opposite the opening 5in the back 2. The projecting end of said hook on the inner side of the front 3 is upset, as shown, and forms a plurality of teeth 9 opposite the opening 5. From its point of attachment with the front 3 the hook Sis bent downwardly to form with said front 3 a downwardlyfacing loop 10 and is then bent upwardly to form an upwardly-facing loop 11. The extreme outer end of said hook extends downwardly to form a downwardly-facing loop 12.
Having now described my invention, What I claim as new is- The design for a garment-supporter, sub stantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
FRANCIS e. lDIE'IZ.
