UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANCIS G. DIETZ, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A GARIVIENT-SUPPORTER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,613, dated. January 28, 1902.
Application filed December 5,1901. Serial No. 84,837. Term of patent 14 years.
T0 @ZZ whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, FRANCIS G. DIETZ, a citizen of the United States,i'esiding at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Garment-Supporters, of which the followingI is a specification.
My invention resides in the design for a garment-supporter shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l is a perspective View of a garment-supporter made in accordance with my design. Fig. 2 is a top view of the saine, and Fig. 3 is an edge view.
As illustrated, the garment supporter made according to my design consists of a base l and a hook 2, connected therewith. The base l is made from a thin sheet of niaterial bent at a point intermediate its ends to form the two sides 3 and 4, the side 3 constituting what may be termed the back and the side 4 the front Said sides are connected to each other along the line of the bend referred to by a substantially circular web 5. The back 3 projects at its side edge beyond front face thereof a projection 8. The inner end of the hook 2 fits within the groove 7 and is secured thereto by rivets 9, whose inner ends extend beyond the plane of the inner surface of the front 4 to form projections 10. From the upper end of the front 4 the hook 2 entends upwardly and then downwardly in a plane at right angles to said front 4 to form a downwardly-facing loop l1.
Having now described my invention, what I claim is- The design for a garment-supporter, sub stantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
. FRANCIS G. DIETZ.
