As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a columnar ornament extending from the foliated base of the handle along the center of the stem and terminating at the junction of the blade with the stem, with the representation of a musician surrounded by floral ornamentations 0n the obverse side and on the reverse side of the handle with a group of musical instruments.
The central ornamentations are inclosed in raised marginal beads; terminating at the junction of the blade with the handle and at the end of the blade into foliated scrolls. The margin of the blade on the obverse side of the handle has a foliated border entwining two cupids. The reverse side of the blade of the handle has a border formed of curved palm branches.
