Application filed February 21, 1901. Serial No- 48380. Term of patent '7 years- To 00% whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ADOLPH BIERMANN, a subject of the Emperor of Germany, residing at the city of New York, borough of Manhattan, county and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Conforming-Rollers,which are adapted to be used for imprinting a design on hair or fur like fabrics of suitable material, such as imitations of furs, and by using different materials I am enabled to produce varying wavy efiects, of which the following is a specification.
In the drawings forming part of this specification, Figure 1 is an end view. Fig. 2 is a plan view.
The roll 1 is cylindrical in form, and between the annular ends 2 it is provided with a raised surface 3, in which are grooves 4, having segmental bases 5, and from which enlarged intermediate portion radiate ribs6, having curved upper surfaces 7. Intermediate of the ends of the ribs 7 are segmental depressions 8, spaced apart, leaving the teeth 9, formed on the ribs, between the depressions. The depressions 8 do not extend to the curved base of the grooves.
Having described my invention, I claim- The design for a conforming-roller substantially as herein set forth and described. Signed in the city, county, and State of New York this 16th day of February, 1901.
