To (1, whom it may concern:

This invention relates to a new and original design for a guard for hooks; and it is embodied in the structure having the form and configuratiol'i shown in the accompanyin; drawings.
In the drawings the design is shown in Figure 1 in perspective looking from the front, and in Fig. similar view looking from the roar.
Generally the design eomprehends a guard having sides A, formed with curved lower edges and spaced apart, the upper edges be ing united by eontinuations and forming a su bstantially-straightsurface. The rear portion of the sides A terminate in substantially a straight course, as at B, and the top portion or connection is extended hack to the straight course or edge, so that the upper or top portion represents an unbroken continention from front to rear. Its extreme rear is 30 slightly curved, as shown. The guard conveniently is formed in the shape of a U in cross section and has, as represented, n straight forward edge. It is also provided with openings D at or near the rear portion 5 as shown.
While the particular design illustrated and described includes the invention, the essential features of the design may be stated as residing more particularly in the peculiar 4o formation of the guard, having the unbroken connecting portion or top extending from front to rear and the rear edges terminating at the top.
Having thus described the invention, what 45 is claimed as new, and desired to be secured by Letters Patent, is
