Description

v2--1llu OR D 269954 EX DESIGN.
T. H. CARROLL. BIGYOLB FRAME.
No. 26,954. Patented Apr. 20,1897.
Attorney.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
THOMAS II. CARROLL, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR TO THE CARROLL CIIAINLESS CYCLE COMPANY, OF NEW JERSEY.
DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE-FRAME.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N 0. 26,954, dated April 20, 1897. Application filed March 1[) 1897. Serial No. 626,888. Term of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, THOMAS II. CARROLL, of the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented a Design for Bicycle-Frames, of which the following is a specification.
My design is illustrated in the accompanying drawing, which shows a perspective view of a bicycle-frame embodying my design.
A is the usual center stay of the frame.
B is the crank-bracket-.
C C are the back stays.
E E are the back forks, of which the back fork E onv one side is composed of two parts F G, the part F extending from the back-fork end D and the part G from the crank-bracket B, the part G being nearer the central plane of the frame than the part F.
I is a brace-piece extending from the center stay A to the point of division of the back fork E into the parts F and G.
I have shown the design embodied in an ordinary diamond frame, but the particular character of the main portions of the frame is not material to my design, the essential feature of which is the divided back fork E, with the part I extending from the point of division of the parts F and G to the center stay A.
Having now described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is as follows:
The design for a bicycle-frame substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony of which invention I hereunto set my hand.
