DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE-FRAME FORK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,227, dated February 1, 1898.
Application filed December 20,1897. Serial No. 662,746. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that LGUSTAVE AooLPH WEID- HASS, Jr., a citizen of the lfnited States, residing at the city of New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bicycle-Frame Irorks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which form a part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of my improved bicycle-frame fork; and Fig. 2 is a transverse sectional view taken on the line 2 2, Fig. 1.
The leading feature of my design consists of a hollow tube which is elliptical in crossseetion and has at one side a laterally-projecting approximately V-shaped hollow rib.
In the drawings forming part of this specification, A A designate the forks of the frame, which are composed of hollow tubes exteriorly elliptical in cross section and forwardly curved at their lower ends, as at a, each of the forks being inwardly curved at the top, as at a.
Centrally upon the outer face of the forks is a longitudinal laterally-projecting rib a which is hollow and has an exterior contour of approximately V shape in cross-section.
