UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ARTHUR L. MOORE, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A CRANK-HANGER FOR BICYCLE-FRAMES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,353, dated March 8, 1898.
Application filed October 9, 1897. Serial No. 654,723. Term of patent 14: years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ARTHUR L. MOORE, a .zitizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, in the county of Ouyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Crank-Hangers for Bicyole-Frames, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 is an end view of a crank-hanger for a bicycle-frame, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a plan View thereof.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material features of my design consist of a tubular cylindrical body A and four seamless tubular cylindrical lugs B, C, D, and D, each having a convex arch-shaped extremity. The lug B projects from the body at a pointmidway between its ends and extends upward and slightly forward. The log 0 projects from said body midway between its ends and extends therefrom upward and slightly rearward. The two lugs D and D project from said body near opposite ends thereof and in a rearward direction. The two lugs B and C are of substantially the same diameter, which diameter is greater than the diameter of the lugs D and D.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
A design for a crank-hanger for bicycleframes as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I aflix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
ARTHUR L. MOORE.
