DESIGN FOR A BICYCLE HANDLE-BAR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,821, dated May 16, 1899.
Application filed October 5, 1898. Serial No.692fl58- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY V. SCANDRETT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Spearville, in the county of Ford and State of Kensas, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bicycle Handle-Bars, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, which fully illustrate a handlebar constructed in accordance with my design.
Figure 1 is a front elevation of my design, and Fig. 2 is a top plan view of the central portion thereof.
Referring to the drawings, A represents a vertical cylindrical depending portion of the handle-bar, encircling which is the circumferential body A, having at its front side a similar body 0. Extending from either face of this body C are the handle-bars B, each handle-bar being curved upwardly, as shown at B, then outwardly, as shown at B, and ta.- pering all the while, the taper becoming more pronounced as it approaches the end, as shown at B, and at the end of each bar is designed a cylindrical tip or grip D.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- The design of a bicycle handle-bar, substantially as herein shown and described.
