Be it known that I, CHARLES L. TRAVIS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Minneapolis, in the county of IIennepin and State of Minnesota, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bicycles, of which the following is a specification.
My design is illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is an elevation of a member or element of the design Fig. 2, a perspective view of a rear brace embodying the design, and Figs. 3 and I front and side elevations of said brace.
The design pertains more particularly to the rear brace or member of bicycle-frames of the diamond and like types, which brace extends from the upper end of the seat-support tube or pillar to the rear end of the rear-wheel fork. v
The brace comprises in its design four members-an upper straight cylindrical member a, an arching member 17, and two lower arms or bars 0 c, of cylindrical form. The member I), which is interposed between members a and c c, has a middle'portion d of cylindrical form in axial alin ement with member a,from which middle portion the arms or' branches of the arch spring outwardly and downwardly, as shown, said arms being of circular cross-sec tion, smaller than members a and c, and swellin g outwardly in easy curves, where they join the central portion ('7 and the members 6,
I claim 1. The design for a bicycle brace or fork, comprising the members a, b and c, of the form herein shown and described.
2. In a design for a bicycle brace or fork, the curved or arched member Z) having the central portion (Z and the curved arms extending outwardly and downwardly therefrom as shown.
