SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,914, dated May 30, 1899. Application filed April 21, 1897. Serial No. 633,194. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANKLIN P. BURN- HAM, a citizen of the United States, residing at Middletown, in the county of Buller and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a certain new and useful Design for a Rear Fork for Bicycles, of which the following is a specification.
Myinvention relates to a new and original design for a rear fork for bicycles and is illustmted in the accompanying drawings, where- 1n- Figure 1 is a side view of the fork for bicycles embodying my invention. Fig. 2 is a plan View of the fork shown in Fig. 1.
In the embodiment of my design I form the rear fork A of the bicycle with an outward bend or bulge A back of the crank-hanger sleeve A and opposite the point occupied by the tire of the rear wheel when in position.
The essential feature of my design is a rear fork for bicycles provided with a bulge or bend back of the crank-hanger sleeve.
I claim- The design for a rear fork for bicycles as herein shown and described.
