DESIGN FOR SKIRT-BINDING.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,963, dated December 5, 1899. Application filed Jannaz-y10,1B99. Serial No. 701,763. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that l, HENRY A. SGHAEFER, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of Rochester, county of Monroe, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Skirt- Binding, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.

The leading feature of my design consists in a garment-binding embodying a body portion of fabric provided upon one edge with a portion having the appearance of a brush or fringe and an ornamentation in the body, substantially as shown.

The design is illustrated in the drawing and comprises the heading or fabric A and the brush or fringe B, formed upon one edge, and a slight edging C is formed along the opposite edge of the heading. The ornamentation (indicated by D) extends through the heading, giving the appearance of a bar (Z with an irregular outline.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for a skirt-binding, substantially as herein shown and described.
