To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY HAMMER,a citizen of the United States, residing at Mountain Lake, in the county of Cottonwood and State 5 of Minnesota, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Buckle, of which the following is a specification.
The invention relates to a new and original design for a buckle; and it has for its object o to provide a design of this character which will be both ornamental and useful.
The essential feature of the design resides in a buckle consisting of an approximately elliptical body portion, an oblong loop ar- 5 ranged at one end of and projecting outward from the body portion of the buckle at an angle to the same, a stud arranged at one end of the body portion at the inner side of the transverse loop, and an arched cross-bar con- 0 necting the sides of the body portion at a point between the ends thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a buckle, showing my new and original design. Fig. 2 is a similar view, the buckle 5 being inverted. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view.
Referring to the drawings, 1 designates an approximately elliptical body portion of a buckle having curved sides and rounded at the end 2, and at the other end of the body portion of the buckle is arranged a transverse loop 3, extending upward and outward at an angle to the plane of the body portion, as clearly illustrated in Fig. 3 of the drawings, and composed of parallel transverse bars 4 and 5. The bar 4, which is arranged at the inner side of the transverse loop, forms the adjacent end of the bodyportion of the buckle, and it is provided with a stud 6, arranged at its center and disposed at right angles to the plane of the body portion of the buckle. The sides of the body portion of the buckle are connected at a point between the ends thereof by an arched bar 7, which is curved, as shown.
