DESIGN FOR A GAME-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,612, dated October 3, 1899.
Application filed August 10,1899. Serial No. 726,836. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, EDWIN RIILEY and JOSHUA L. THAYER, citizens of the United States, residing at Sherman, in the county of Chautauqua and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Game-Board, of which the following is a. specification.
The invention relates to a new and original design for a game-board; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character which will be ornamental and attractive.
The essential feature of the design resides in a rectangular game-board having a central space and provided with narrow diametrical spaces each having a longitudinal series of narrow spaces arranged in the form of steps, the spaces at the corners of the gamehoard between the narrow diametrically-arranged spaces being divided into squares.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a plan View of the game-board, showing our new and origi nal design. Fig. 2 is a transverse section of the same.
Referring to the drawings, 1 designates a game-hoard provided with narrow diametrically arranged oblong spaces 2, extending from a central space 3 and provided with longitudinal series of narrow spaces 4, each series being arranged in the form of a flight of steps. The corner-spaces of the game-board are divided into large squares 5 and series of small squares I Each series of small squares 6 is arranged in two approximately L-shaped rows and is disposed at the outer sides of the large square 5, which is located at the angle formed by the adjacent narrow diametricallydisposed spaces 2.
