DESIGN FOR A MAT-BINDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,165, dated July 4, 1899. Application filed June '7, 1899. Serial No. 719,722. Term of patent 3 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Beit known that 1, MARK D. STILES, a citizen of the United .States, residing at Mount Vernon, in the county of VVestehester and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Mat- Binder; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference .being had to the ac oompanyi ng drawings, forminga part thereof. The drawings represent, in Figure 1, a perspective view of the'mat-binder or border, and in Fig. 2 a cross-section thereof.
The design relates to' the configuration of the binder.
The leading features of the design appear in the following description.
The binder is formed of thin metal having a cross-section, as seen in Fig. 2, of a substantially L shape, with the two sides of substan- 2o tially the same Width. 7
Upon the sides and ends of the binder A are the logs or flanges B, which project from the same at right angles to the front face and I in the general direction with the side of the binder which lies at right angles to. the said front face. These lugs or flanges project to a considerable distance beyond the rear edge of the said side, as shown.
What'isclaimed as new is The design for a mat-binder substantially as shown and described.
