DESIGN FOR A FENCE-STRAND.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,410, dated December 15, 1896.
Application filed October 28, 1896. Serial No. 610,374 Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may (/JILCCI'IL.
Be it known that I, Dames C. LENJAMIN, a citizen of the l'nited States, residing at Alpha, in the county of Jackson and State of Minnesota, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Barbed-Fence Strips; and do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention relates to a design for a barbed-fence strip.
It relates to the entire configuration of the strip, and especially to a barbed-fence strip constructed of sheet metal.
My invention relates mrtieularlv to a barbed-fence strip as illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of a strip for barbed fences embodying inydesign, and Fig. 2 is a front edge view of the same.
The leading features of my design appear in the following description.
.t represents a suitable strip having a straight edge 2, and from the opposite edge project outwardly from one side a series of V-shaped spurs or barbs 3 These barbs are curved at r, where they integrally join the strip 1, and the sides of their V-shaped edges are arranged at an oblique angle to the length of the strip, the barbs themselves extending outwardly approximately at a right angle to the side of the strip, as shown in the d ra wi 11 gs.
