To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I,SYDNEY S. CONNOR,aciti= zen of the United States, residing at Amite City, in the parish of Tangipahoa and State of Louisiana,have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Gravity-Latch; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention relates to a newand original design for a gravity-latch.
The design consists, essentially, of a flat platehaving upon one face an arched frame perpendicular thereto, composed of two members meeting at an acute angle and extending to the opposite side edges of the said plate, a curved slot in said plate to one side of said arched frame, a stud or projection at or near one end of said plate extending beyond the surface thereof perpendicular thereto, and said plate having at its opposite end acircular opening,all as shown in the accompanying drawings.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 represents a face view of the latch embodying my design. Fig. 2 represents an edge view of the same, and Fig. 3 represents an end view.
A indicates the arched frame extending perpendicularly from one face of the said plate and having its two members meeting at an acute angle.
B indicates the curved slot formed transversely of the plate upon one side of said arched frame.
0 indicates the projecting stud, also perpendicular to the face of the said plate near one end.
D indicates the circular opening through the said plate near the opposite end thereof.
What I claim is- The design for a gravity latch substantially as herein shown and described.
